Sustainable livelihood project – Kyaukse, Mandalay

This project targets to improve lives of 20 poor families in Dry Zone area through sustainable livestock development. This is a pilot project using a BHF’s sustaiable livelihood model. This program will enable families to earn a sustainable living on and gradually improve their incomes.

Project Location Lat Pan Village, Kyaukse Township, Mandalay
Objectives
  • To provide 25 families 2 cows each to grow and market
  • To train them with selling-purchasing, fattening cow process
  • To train them basic bookkeeping and financial management
Timeline 6 months, October 2018 to May 2020

  • Direct: 25 families (750 persons)
  • Indirect: 660 community members
