About Us

Brighter Hope Foundation is a registered Myanmar non-profit founded in early 2018 by Myanmar young professionals with background in international humanitarian and development missions. BHF is dedicated to building a self-reliant society that eventually will break the cycle of excessive poverty, and co-existing communities that cherish diversity in Myanmar through innovative sustainable development programs. Our key focus areas are education, clean water and sanitation and emergency response. BHF program regions include Central Rakhine and Dry Zone (Mandalay, Magwe, and Sagaing).

Mission Statement

To achieve our vision, our mission is:

  1. to improve access to education for vulnerable and marginalized children
  2. to improve access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene in dry zone areas
  3. to provide emergency assistance to communities affected by man-made and natural disasters

Governance Structure

BHF has a defined structure that includes Advisory Board and Senior Management Team. The Board is comprised with of key local leaders, advisors and financial supporters. The Board is involved in setting strategies, policies, reviewing and planning financial and risk management. It also oversees the project achievements and organizational development. The executive Director leads the Senior Management Team and it is responsible for core functions of the organization.
